At Hambrook lodge we celebrate Robert Burns Night every year in late winter, this is just one of our themed meetings and is very popular every year.
New members are very welcome, join us as a visitor, a joining member or as new Freemason, we would love to hear from you.
“Hambrook Lodge held their late winter evening tonight and what a fantastic start to the world of Freemasonry for their newest initiate at this First Degree who seemed to love the entire magical event.
As Grand Officers and Provincial Officers sang the dedicated Entered Apprentices song to him, and warmth filled the room, the ceremony beforehand was brilliant as well, and it was so efficient it finished earlier than planned, and the Worshipful Master and officers delivered like a well oiled machine.
WBro Nick who has been away for two years because of the pandemic has dedicated money raised in his year to Project 21 which is to buy three scanners for the NHS which are £100,000 each, and this evening Nick gave £1000 towards that cause which will eventually save countless lives. The raffle and draw raised £269.10 for local charities, and the Worshipful Master Chris Northcott will be asking the local community to apply for funding and money raised in his year will help local groups to make a difference.
In their January meeting at Hambrook Lodge the piper who was trained in Edinburgh many moons ago couldn’t make the ceremony for Burns Night this year but Hambrook Lodge gave his charity £100 this evening in appreciation anyway, and that charity is Bristol Child Contact Centre, and doing wonderful work for young people.
Absent Brethren was dedicated moreso to those who’ve lost loved ones and those who’ve suffered throughout Covid and Brethren remembered others past and present”.
Our 2022 February meeting was also a First Degree to to welcome a new member our lodge. Below the lodge sang the Entered Apprentice’s song to him.
